| Due
to circumstances beyond the control of ORUMC, Joel Engle
Ministry will not be available to lead our Festival of Faith or
hold the NWHS Concert on Saturday night. The reason Joel Engle
Ministry provided is that Joel is stressed out on the efforts to
start up the new church he is leading and wants to focus his
efforts on this church.
Festival
of Faith Update:
The
Lord is in charge and is blessing us.
Within 24-hours after Joel Engle Ministry canceled, the
Lord has provided us with a plan and means to continue with our
Festival of Faith.
Rev.
E. Lee Ellis will be delivering the Lord’s message during the
Sunday morning and evening worship time.
Rev. Ellis has over 40-years experience in the pulpit and
has spent the last 8-years in full-time evangelism.
He and his wife, Evelyn recently joined our church.
On
Monday night the Lord is blessing us in song from the “Sons of
Thunder Quartet” a southern gospel group which originated in
Clemmons in 1993 and in 2004 they won the SOGO Award as the
Southern Gospel Regional Artists of the Year. But the real heart
of the quartet is about sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in
music, in any venue and with anyone who will listen.

On
Tuesday night we will conclude with a “Service of Prayer and
Healing”.
Included in this service is much prayer and meditative
music. It is a worship service that offers us a time of
holistic healing before God – healing of the body, mind, soul
and relationships through confession, forgiveness and
reconciliation. How appropriate to observe prayer and
healing during our current Peacemakers Series.
On
Sunday morning at 8:15 AM and then at 6:45 PM each night,
we will meet at the altar to pray for the Festival of
Faith and those leading the service but more significantly
asking the Lord to bless us by sending the Holy Spirit and that
He would rain down on us and set us on fire for HIM.
