Stewardship Recognition Tree

We’re sure many of you have seen the tree. It is a beautiful work of art and we would like to thank everyone who came and helped with the installation. If you haven’t seen it yet, please make a point of stopping by the Education Building. If you have been thinking about buying a leaf, please be sure to pick up an order form on the wall by the tree. 
If your group wants to purchase a leaf, please pick a contact person, have them fill out the order form and Glenn will assign a number to your leaf. This number needs to appear on each check from your group so we know which leaf the check is for. You don’t have to know which color leaf you will be getting. If the group would like a monthly update on the balance, please list the contact person’s email address on the order form. 
We will also start showing the total collected to date for the tree in the bulletin. If you have any questions regarding the tree, please contact Joe or Carol Shelton 643-4264 or SheltonA@aol.com.

Dear Friend of Greensboro Urban Ministry,

May we take this opportunity to thank you for coming to our aid and the aid of the community with your last food donation of 319 pounds.  This is so incredible!  The work of Greensboro Urban Ministry would not be possible without the support of so many throughout the community who have the interest of the needy at heart.  The Food Bank distributed food and other items to those in the community; families, group homes, foster homes and churches that have food pantries, as well as the needy, the elderly, little children and those down on their luck.  Our Mission states, “To express the love of God to people in need through practical action in the Greensboro area,” and your donation helps us to meet these needs.  Our community is so fortunate to have those who will respond to the needs of others, and this effort on their part, will make the lives of so many richer.  Our heartfelt thanks for this gift to this agency.

Thank you for your generous contributions to the fund to purchase an AED.  Sunday, June 29, we collected $2,526 for the AED.  This is enough to purchase the AED.  The extra funds will go towards the purchase of additional equipment.
